What is dogging?
Sex in a semi-public place – usually a car in a secluded spot – while others watch. It plays to two desires: exhibitionism, the thrill of being seen, and voyeurism, the thrill of watching.
Watchers and players – how does it work?
Players, often couples, enjoy the attention and the edge of risk. Watchers, often single men but not always, are the audience. A good watcher knows when to stay back, and only comes closer if invited.
What are the unwritten rules?
Interior light on: you're invited to look. Light off: stay away. Window down: you can come closer or talk. Window up: look, don't touch or talk. Waved away or engine started: leave at once, no questions.
Is it legal?
It depends where you are. Sex where the public is likely to see you can be a criminal offence. Never involve anyone who hasn't chosen to be there – if a dog walker or a family appears, stop.
Any advice for single men?
Respect is everything. Don't crowd a car or tap on windows uninvited. Stand back and wait for a signal – patient watchers are the ones invited closer.
Car play or outdoors?
Car play stays inside the vehicle: warmer, more private and an easy getaway – best for beginners. Outdoor or bonnet play is for confident exhibitionists, and needs somewhere far more secluded.
How do I stay safe?
Chat on the site before heading out. Agree a time and place, swap car descriptions, and tell a friend where you'll be. Block or report anyone who makes you uneasy – it's instant.
