Florida is huge, and each area has its own flavour.

- Orlando and Central Florida
Beyond the theme parks: house parties, social groups and hotel takeovers – friendlier and less pretentious than Miami.
- Tampa Bay

What should I wear?
Know the vibe first. In Miami 'dress to impress' means high fashion and swimwear; in Tampa it might mean flip-flops and a sundress.
Any tips for pool parties?
Pace yourself. Day-drinking in the Florida sun catches up with you fast – keep some energy for the evening.
Will I meet locals or visitors?
Both. Plenty of people you'll meet are visiting, so be clear up front whether you want long-term local friends or vacation fun.
